Dr Alex Tattersall is based in the UK and is a highly active and accomplished underwater photographer. He is the founder of Underwater Visions, the importer and distributor of the Nauticam range of underwater imaging products for the UK, and France.
Alex’s enthusiasm for creatively capturing the underwater world, combined with his desire to share ideas, techniques and experiences with fellow photographers, has developed into a passion for teaching underwater photography workshops around the world. His workshops focus not only on developing technical skills and creative approaches, but also on encouraging photographers to see the underwater environment in new and inspiring ways.
Alongside his teaching, Alex has become a leading and vocal advocate for marine animal welfare within the ever-growing world of underwater photography. He actively promotes responsible photographic practices and a greater understanding of how photographers can minimize their impact while documenting the remarkable marine life they encounter.
Through his role as Nauticam importer, Alex has the enviable opportunity to test, explore and enjoy the latest products and innovations from the brand.
