Classic Design with a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans Sensor and UHD 4K Recording
Don’t let the retro design fool you! Equipped with a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III image sensor and the X-Processor Pro Engine, the X-T2 is able to capture up to 8 fps with full AF tracking or up to 14 fps using the silent electronic shutter. The Intelligent Hybrid AF system with 325 points ensures fast, accurate tracking of subjects in all modes.
The X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor with its highly random pixel array effectively reduces moiré and false colors without the use of an optical low-pass filter. When combined with an XF lens, the sensor delivers images with a perceived resolution far greater than the number of pixels used.
The X-T2 offers internal UHD 4K video as well as an 8-bit 4:2:2 clean HDMI output. Fine detail is captured with ultra high resolution (3840 x 2160), at an excellent 100 Mbps bitrate and with a minor 1.17x crop of the sensor. It uses a 5120 x 2880 sample area of the sensor that is 1.8x more resolution than the UHD 4K frame created, ensuring maximum detail. An F-Log Gamma setting is available for capturing a flat tone picture style, for use in advanced color grading software during editing.
Fujifilm has a long history in traditional film-based photography and the X-T2 integrates several classic film simulation and grain effects, including PROVIA and Velvia to reproduce vibrant colors. All 15 simulation modes can be applied to both photo and video.

The NA-XT2 Housing
The NA-XT2 inherits the best of previous DSLR and high-end mirrorless Nauticam housings, while tackling the manual aperture control needed for this particular camera.
The housing is small, but not at the expense of functionality or ergonomics. Integrated handles provide a sturdy and comfortable base to operate the system from. An ergonomic shutter release lever and well placed control dials provide excellent tactile feel. Important push buttons are placed within easy reach of the handles. Camera controls have sufficient spacing to allow easy operation, even with gloves.
A new accessory battery pack has been released along with the NA-XT2! This larger capacity battery greatly extends the time between battery swaps, and allows the housing to remain sealed between dives. The battery pack, conveniently slides into the underwater housing below the camera mounting plate.
The Fujinon XF10-24mm F4 R OIS wide angle zoom lens, and the Zeiss Touit 2.8/50M macro lens are both supported. With Fuji’s high end lenses (called the “XF” line) and the Zeiss 50mm macro, aperture is controlled on via a lens ring rather than electronically through the camera. This old school approach will resonate with anyone who, for example, shot older Nikon SLR’s before the days of electronic aperture. Use Nauticam aperture ring (#36422), for the Zeiss 50mm macro, and (#36421) aperture, (#36441) zoom gears for the 10-24mm.
This is a rugged housing, ready to tackle thousands of hours of underwater abuse. Crafted from solid aircraft aluminum, the housing can reach depths of 100m with ease. The secure single rotating housing latch opens the housing back. The camera drops in easily. The rear mounted housing o-ring makes maintenance simple. Dual fiber optic synch ports are standard and take advantage of the cameras included EF-X8 flash for strobe triggering. To make the most of the excellent X-T2 electronic view finder (EVF), Nauticam allows for installation of the acclaimed 45º and 180º magnified viewfinders, providing the ultimate in clear composition and focus ability.

Flash Connectors for Optical TTL
Reliable automatic flash exposure is available with the NA-XT2 and a variety of optically fired flashes. The Inon Z-240, D-2000, S-2000, and Sea & Sea YS-D1/YS-D2 strobes provide automated lighting, precisely reproducing the camera’s included EF-X8 flash at a proportionally greater intensity. This system yields accurate automatic TTL flash performance – even in manual exposure mode – with no electrical sync cables to flood!
The NA-XT2 is also compatible with the Nauticam Mini Flash Trigger for Panasonic/Fujifilm (#26305). The Flash Trigger allows for rapid fire manual flash firing via fiber optic, with no camera battery drain.
The NA-XT2 comes fiber optic ready and accepts standard Sea & Sea style bushing connections. Nauticam Universal fiber optic cable system (#26216) for Inon, Sea&Sea strobes, provide exceptional light transmission for accurate TTL performance.
A clear view for fine focus and composition is critical for successful underwater photography, and nothing beats a magnifying viewfinder. These viewfinders use distance, not closeup vision, and provide a large, clear view of the high resolution, 2.36M-dot OLED EVF on the X-T2. Available in angled 45º (#32205) and Straight (#32204) formats, both viewfinders have external dioptric adjustments for dialing in perfect correction matched to the photographer’s eyesight.
Integrated Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System
The Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system is available with NA-XT2 as standard equipment. Combined with an optional vacuum valve (PN 25624), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. A simple coded LED lighting system lets the user know that the vacuum is solid, or that the housing is losing vacuum. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.
